F&K Delvotec
The history of bonding goes back well over 20 years; we were there since 1978


Before 1994: F&K Delvotec served the North American market through manufacturer’s representatives.
Growing business and the need to support customers directly led to F&K Delvotec’s management’s decision to establish a subsidiary in USA with the goal to build a close relationship with F&K Delvotec’s customers in th north American countries.

1993: Peter W. Bullock†, who had retired from Hughes Electronics Company was appointed Vice President and General Manager for F&K Delvotec’s new North American subsidiary.

March 1994: Peter Bullock incorporated F&K Delvotec, Inc., which started its operations in Vista, California. F&K Delvotec, Inc. had 3 employees at this time.

February 1996: Frank Rondinelli joined F&K Delvotec, Inc. as its first Regional Sales Manager, responsible for the eastern USA and Canada. Frank is located in New Castle, PA.

May 1996: Ken Biggs, who had resigned as president of WEST BOND and K-SINE, joined F&K Delvotec, Inc as the new Vice President and General Manager. Ken came on board to replace Peter Bullock who was planning his second retirement.

June 1996: Kris Nelson, who had worked more than 16 years for Ken Biggs, joined F&K Delvotec team to accept the responsibilities Human Resources, Customer Relationships and Acoounting.

August 1996: Said Kazemi, part owner, Vice President and Technical Director, relocated from Germany to California to support the fast growing North American operations.

May 1997: With 6 employees, needing more space for offices and for a service and applications lab, F&K Delvotec, Inc. moved its North American Headquarters form its 1,800 square ft. building in Vista to its new developed 12,000 square ft. premises in Foothill Ranch in southern Orange County.

June 1998: Tim Ryan was hired to head the new regional sales and service office in Dallas, TX.

January 2001: Rick Bailey, resigned as president of DeWyle Tool Company, joined F&K Delvotec, Inc. as the Regional Sales and Service Manager of F&K Delvotec’s newly opened Sales and Service office in Northern California.

March 2002: Trevor Sawyer was hired to resume Rick Bailey’s responsibilities, who was planning his relocation to F&K Delvotec’s North American Headquarters in Foothill Ranch.

July 2002: Rick Bailey was appointed General Manager of F&K Delvotec, Inc. and Ken Biggs became Sales Director, Japan.

2002: The first epoxy and eutectic die bonders 4501 are delivered
6600 HS: further developed large wire bonder for the highest throughput.
Die bonder models 4400 and 4500 are extended to provide Flip-Chip and Tape & Reel capabilities.

2003: Ball bonder 6200: introduction of a programable flame-off unit
The first heavy wire machines of the new fith generation of wire bonders are introduced during the Productronica exhibition in Munich
